Detroit Automatic was founded in April 1966 in the one car garage of our president Jerry Reitz……April 1 to be exact.

Today our 30,000 square foot facility sits on 7 acres less than 2 miles from the Detroit Metro Airport’s main runways. Our inventory has expanded to over 126,000 part numbers and our 4 salesmen have attained a combined total of 117 years of industry experience.

We have amassed the largest stock of threading equipment in the world. This allows us the unmatched ability to provide the fastest delivery times in the industry.
